Tunisia manager Sabri Lamouchi has revealed he planned to include Louey Ben Farhat in his World Cup squad, but the player’s father personally called to say the 2006-born talent “was not ready” for the tournament yet.
Lamouchi then attempted to contact both Ben Farhat and his father again before finalising the squad, but neither responded. The Tunisia boss admitted he was left “shocked” by the situation.
Ben Farhat, who also holds German nationality, is now set to miss out on the World Cup entirely.
