Once seemingly untouchable endorsed by the NRM Central Executive Committee and initially by the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) Among is now facing intense pressure to exit the race for Speaker of the 12th Parliament, with reports indicating she was advised as much during a high-level State House

Kampala, Uganda A joint security operation led by the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID), supported by the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) and other agencies, has reportedly raided the residence of former Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among.

“I witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding and operational licence agreement between the Uganda Communications Commission and Starlink, marking an important step towards the commencement of their operations in Uganda,” Museveni posted on X.

Security detail of the speaker of parliament of Uganda ha been cut to a quarter and it is believed from trusted sources that some people from Bukedea district have been summoned to give a clear story against her.
